Recently, the Olympic Games 2012 were staged in London, which is where my family used to live. My brother and sister-in-law residing in London, had the pleasure of seeing some of the Olympic Games in action.
Aside from Art Painting, I have also in the past participated in a number of sports at school, college or in my freetime.
So, here is something slightly irrelevant to Art Painting but relevant to recreation:

Here is a list of sports that I have played, participated in, or had experience in:
Football ( from early years ie. 8 years of age with other class colleagues). Hockey ( school years with others). Squash ( for a couple of years in early secondary school). Rounders (similar to American Baseball, introduced to it briefly whilst at school). Rugby (sport similar to American Football - very brief experience in early school. I was not at all good at it). Chess ( very regularly - great interest since the age of 6 years). Ten Pin Bowling - Quite a number of times, I have played this sport. Badminton (regularly - since 12 years old). Kayaking (like a canoe) - Once,when 18 years old (an adult) I have paddled in a kayak accompanied by my cousin along the stretch of Lake Ontario, Canada. Tennis ( early age regularly. I still keep in touch with it, even recently). Cricket ( I practised cricket in my back garden at home from an early age with pals & at school). Table Tennis (I had a table tennis table from 11 years at home. I played at university, and a lot whilst in India. I have even played a game of table tennis in China). Swimming (regularly) Running & Sprinting (regularly) Long Jump (school) Volleyball - Once or twice played it. I wasn't very good at it. High Jump (school) Basketball ( I used to have a basketball and net at home). Golf I practiced golf 'putting' in my back garden with others, and 'pitch and putt' (amateur golf) at some golf courses. Brisk Walking - regularly. ( I walked a 6 mile charity walk when 11 years old for the British Heart Foundation)
Weight Training (I have been weight training regularly since an adult of 18 years. I still practise now). Checkers (or Draughts) - A board game played when I was a kid either a school or at home with friends. Bridge (Card Playing, I played bridge with students at bridge club at school, and played at home with family). Snooker ( I had a snooker table at home when I was 11. I have played on a full-sized slate table, in recent years). Hurdles (school). Rifle Shooting - Some experience with rifles whilst acquiring military training at secondary school. Gymnastics - (short experience, in early primary schooling). Sailing - Though I had some experience in a 'topper' sailboat, I had very little skill in this field. Rowing - I practised some rowing at the local club nearby with a paddle boat for a couple of months. Croquet - Once, at a friend's house (at least I think so). Pétanque - (French bowls) - Once or twice (long time back again at a friend's home). Aerobics - regularly - I sometimes practise aerobics in the house to keep healthy. Cycling - Since an early age. I have passed my cycling proficiency test twice. Frisbee Throwing - I would sometimes throw frisbees to buddies at the park grounds nearby where we lived in Peterborough, UK. Rummy - Card Playing Game - Twice a week I play this game with family, for the past year. Pontoon - Card Playing Game - Twice a week I play this with family. Even today I play it. Black Jack - Card Playing Game - Twice a week, game like in the Las Vegas casinos. Scrabble - I have played the board game Scrabble infrequently in the past. Regular Exercise At Present:
At Present - I do regular brisk walking at least twice a week for 1-2 km for the past 15 years. I also lift dumbbell (arm) weights at least twice a week for the past 7 years.
Running outside - Sometimes occasionally I run outside for 5-10 minutes non-stop, just to retain some fitness.
